The Heirloom Kitchen Club is a monthly letter for people who take their kitchens seriously. Every month, a stamped envelope arrives with a recipe worth keeping, art worth framing, and a little writing about where the food came from and who was cooking it.No algorithm. No inbox. We collect only what we need to fulfill your subscription and communicate with you:
-Name and mailing address — required to mail your monthly envelope via USPS.
-Email address — used to confirm your subscription, send renewal notices, and communicate about your account.
-Payment information — processed and stored by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
-Website usage data — our website platform (Carrd, and later Shopify) may collect standard analytics data including pages visited, browser type, and general geographic region. This is aggregate and non-personally-identifying unless you interact with a form.
-Cookies — our website uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this will not affect your ability to subscribe.

How We Use It
-To mail your monthly subscription envelope
-To process and manage your recurring subscription payment via Stripe
-To send you transactional emails (subscription confirmation, renewal reminder, cancellation confirmation)
-To improve the website based on aggregate usage patterns

Plain language note:
We do not sell your information. We do not share your mailing address with any third party except USPS for delivery. We do not send promotional email beyond what you signed up for.

Who We Share Your Data With
We share your data only as required to run the subscription:
-Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
-USPS — your mailing address is on the envelope, as required for delivery.
-Carrd / Shopify — our website platform may process your email and browsing data per their own privacy policies.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any party for marketing purposes, ever.
Data Retention
We retain your mailing address and email for as long as your subscription is active, and for up to 12 months after cancellation in case you wish to resubscribe. Payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see below).
Your Rights
You have the right to:
-Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
-Request correction of inaccurate data
-Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
-Opt out of any non-transactional communications

Children's Privacy
Heirloom Kitchen Club is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers before they take effect.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your subscription to Heirloom Kitchen Club, operated by Mountain Maryland Trading Post, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). By subscribing, you agree to these Terms.The subscription
Heirloom Kitchen Club is a monthly snail mail subscription. Each month, we mail one envelope containing a recipe card/art print, a Kitchen Letter, a Seasonal Pantry Card, and one sticker, plus occasional bonus items such as a bookmark. Mailings are sent via USPS stamped letter mail during the last week of each calendar month.
Important
USPS letter mail does not include tracking. Once an envelope leaves our hands, we cannot confirm delivery or retrieve it. See the Shipping Policy for how we handle lost mail.

Billing and payment
-Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis starting on your sign-up date.
-The monthly rate is $7.99 (US).
-Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
-If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email. Subscriptions with failed payments may be paused until payment is resolved.
-Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers by email.

Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will receive the mailing for any month you have already paid for. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

Because our product is physical mail, we cannot accept returns. However:
If your envelope arrives visibly damaged, contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement at no charge.
If an envelope is lost in transit (not delivered within 21 days of the expected mail date), contact us and we will send a replacement or, at our discretion, apply a credit to your account.
We do not issue refunds for envelopes confirmed as delivered by USPS, or for subscriptions cancelled after a mailing has already been sent for that billing period.

Subscription gifts and gift subscriptions
Gift subscriptions are non-refundable once the first mailing has been sent. Gift subscriptions do not auto-renew unless explicitly configured at purchase.
Address accuracy
You are responsible for providing and maintaining an accurate, deliverable mailing address. If mail is returned to us due to an incorrect or outdated address, we will attempt to notify you by email. We will hold the returned mailing for 30 days; if we do not receive a corrected address within that time, the item will not be reshipped and no credit will be issued. USPS does not forward stamped letter mail.
Intellectual property
All content in each mailing — including recipes, written text, and original artwork — is the property of Mountain Maryland Trading Post, LLC. You may use the recipes for personal, non-commercial cooking. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell the artwork, text, or recipes without written permission.
Disclaimer of warranties
Heirloom Kitchen Club is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the subscription beyond what is stated here. Heritage recipes are shared for home cooking reference. We are not responsible for cooking outcomes, ingredient availability, or dietary suitability. Please consult a qualified professional for medical dietary advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Maryland law, Mountain Maryland Trading Post, LLC's liability to you for any claim arising from your subscription is limited to the amount you paid in the 30 days preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Allegany County, Maryland, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued subscription after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated [email protected]

Every Heirloom Kitchen Club mailing ships via USPS stamped letter mail from Cumberland, Maryland. Here is what to expect.
When we mail
Mailings go out during the last week of each calendar month. If you subscribe mid-month, your first envelope ships with the next scheduled mailing cycle. You will not receive a partial-month mailing.
Delivery timeline
-US domestic: Typically 3–7 business days from the mail date, depending on your location. Rural routes and PO Boxes may take longer.
-International: Typically 2–6 weeks, depending on destination and customs processing. International delivery times are not guaranteed.

No tracking
We ship via USPS stamped letter mail, which does not include tracking or delivery confirmation. This is by design — it keeps the cost low and the experience right. Once the envelope is in the mail stream, we cannot check on its status.

Shipping rates
-US domestic shipping is included in the $10.00/month subscription price.
-International shipping carries a $2.00/month surcharge, billed as part of the $12.00/month international rate.

Address requirements
USPS letter mail does not forward automatically. If you move, update your address with us before the last week of the month to ensure your next mailing reaches you. Email us at [email protected] with your updated address.
We mail to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses (domestic rates apply for military addresses).
Lost or missing mail
If your envelope has not arrived within 21 days of the expected mail date (US) or 45 days (international), contact us at [email protected]. We will either send a replacement mailing (subject to availability) or apply a credit to your next billing cycle. We handle these cases individually and will do our best to make it right.
We are not responsible for mail lost or delayed due to USPS service interruptions, natural disasters, incorrect addresses, or customs holds on international shipments.
Damaged mail
If your envelope arrives visibly damaged — contents wet, torn, or missing — contact us within 14 days with a photo if possible. We will send a replacement at no charge.
International customs
International subscribers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees that may apply in their country. We have no control over customs processing and cannot predict delays. We mark all international envelopes accurately as "printed matter / no commercial value."

Cancellation Policy
Some items in our store may be offered to you as a subscription, a pre-order or try before you buy. This cancellation policy lays out how you can change or cancel these kinds of purchases.

Subscriptions
When you purchase a subscription you'll receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select.

Your payment details will be stored securely and you'll be charged for each of these deliveries, unless you choose to pay in advance.

All subscriptions auto-renew at the end of their duration. If you don't want to renew a subscription you can cancel it.

If you want to cancel or change your subscription, you can do it at any time. Your order confirmation emails have links to your order. You can manage your subscription from there.
